The third edition of ‘Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space,’ the third attempt to create a pen-and-paper roleplaying game based on ‘Doctor Who,’ will go to print either later this year or early next year, according to information from the publisher at http://www.cubicle7.co.uk/the-doctor-who-roleplaying-game-pre-order-now/.
The first attempt was by FASA in the mid-80s’ while Tom Baker was the best known actor in the part. ‘Time Lord,’ which was published in the early 90s’, featured Sylvester McCoy on the front cover.
The latest game, which has generally received good reviews, seems well supported by Cubicle 7. The company has released supplements specific to each era through the eighth Doctor, for example, while another sourcebook focuses on UNIT. There does not, however, appear to be a Torchwood sourcebook.
The third edition will feature Peter Capaldi on the front cover. How well will it be received by roleplaying enthusiasts? The fact that there is a third edition seems like a good sign.
