NWI Comic Con 2019

Geeks A Gogo spent this past Saturday at Northwest Indiana Comic Con at the Halls of St. George in Schererville, IN. This is the 6th year for this event, and we have attended every year, watching this convention rapidly grow from a small local convention into a sizeable event that draws over 3,000 people every year! It's always fun to start off our convention-going season with this show.

This year was much like pasts years with a great artist alley featuring both local artists and publishers, such as Guerilla Publishing Group, to artists who work for big-name publishers like DC and Dark Horse. There were plenty of vendors selling comics, toys, board games, role-playing games, and other geek items, and you could even stop by and talk to the folks at Chimera Comics about their comic book store giveaway! And being the gaming nerds that we are, we were pleased that we even got to do some role-playing game demos with the folks from the Indie Game Developer Network! Here are some pictures from around the convention:

Of course, as with every year, there was the big cosplay contest on the main stage. This year Geeks A Gogo founder Monica Paprocki returned as a cosplay judge for the adult cosplay competition, alongside Christopher English of Papabear Cosplay and James Wulfgar of Wulfgar Weapons and Props.

So, of course, we have a gallery of cosplay pictures for you:
